WELCOME TO BERGSMA ! Artist ... Jody Bergsma ... began painting as a young girl, drawing images from nature and her rich imagination. Raised in the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, Jody found the inspiration to fuel her future career as a nature artist, author and illustrator. Early in life, the "dream keepers" series captured a nationwide audience and Jody's fantasy life began. Later, her desire to express the beauty of her surroundings evolved into a second series "natural elements".
Bergsma travels throughout the year and visits museums, beautiful locations, zoos & aquariums which contribute to her continuing study of myths, symbols and wildlife. Together these sources of inspiration weave together the unique vision that we know as Bergsma.
